GRADUATION TIME.....SO THOUGHT I WOULD DESIGN A CARD

I used the cuddlebug with gold inking..............you can't see it so well but it looks amazing. I heat embossed the cap and of course I always have to stamp something on the envelopes to personalize them as well.
I stamped a few of the stars, cut out a couple and used pop dots to 3-d them. The mat on the front of the card is in gold metallic paper (you can't really see it). I was quite pleased with how this card turned out.
Hope you like it.

Baby Album for my niece!

This is an album that I made last year for my niece who was expecting a baby girl. I did everything but the pictures for her so that she could easily finish the book (Livie is now 8 months - so expect to see lots of pics in the album). Putting together an album without pictures can be somewhat challenging, but I had alot of fun doing it....................when you have so many amazing products to work with...........it makes it quite easy!
So here are the pics.............hope you are inspired!
 This is the cover page
This is the Baby Safari Collection:
This is a double page layout
Another double page layout
This is the same pic as above but I wanted to show off my hand stitching - not too many people I would do this for......................
And this is the last page! And of course we know where the baby albums leads to - a scrapbooking addiction......and many more to come!!!!!
Thanks Mork for letting me show off your beautiful baby belly on my blog.........cutest little pregnant person I have ever seen.........................................and then we got "beautiful little "LIV"!!!!

Playin around

I am a Tim Holtz fan. I love to see what he keeps coming up with, and the product line is phenom!!!!
So on this layout I thought I would play around with some of his products that I had purchased.
The paper I used is Basic Grey and I stuck with a fairly plain background as I wanted to dress it up using Tim's masks. So the layout on the right - the bottom time pieces are using a mask and inking with distress ink. On the left hand side of the picture I used acrylic tiles and attached the co-ordinating paper pieces under them to carry on the paper pattern and add some dimension (loved this technique). Looks great outside of the pic. Of course I made my own flowers using circles and scallops, distressing, and adding buttons as my accents.
The layout on the left pretty much speaks for itself. I did use the inking technique on my tag so that it would match the rest of the colours in the layout. I really enjoyed working with these elements and for sure will be trying other variations.
This is a closer up pic so that you can better see the masking as well as the acrylic tiles on the left side of the mat. The flower I made here is with the scallop punch and circles.
Hope you enjoyed this layout!
I have been working on a layout for a submission for Heartstring Designs and will post this layout as soon as I can!!!   Top secret for now?
I have not gotten to the prom layout.......but I have to find just the right papers and accessories.......and of course ""TIME"" ..........u know!!!!!!!!!   Hope to have it done soon.
Thanks for visiting!

My Little Clown Ryleigh - Using paintbrush for picture

This is my cutie patootie grandaughter "Ryleigh". All she wants to do is make you laugh. Just love her to bits. She also has the cutest little voice, she notices absolutely "everything", and the other day she says to me "grandma, l like yur new earwings"......yes her use of words is very interesting. For this layout I played with photoshop by using a black & white and colouring in just the hot pink glasses on the larger pic. It took a little time to get it, but is something I will for sure be playing around with a bit more. My next adventure is to take some photography classes as I "LOVE" taking pictures and would love to learn a little more about settings etc.,

Hope you enjoy my post

Older layouts

These are a couple of layouts I did two years ago of my grandaughters in their "Christmas" dresses that I bought them. Yes my picture taking has somewhat improved since then. Lesson do not take pics inside of clear sleeves............hmmmmm....you get glare....one of these days I will attempt to build one of the light boxes I keep hearing about............any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for visiting.....

Anything but a card challenge OK so I will try that again.....the pic was too large!

I am not so good at this blogging...................I will try again! I guess I should not have made the pic so large.

YES I DO!!!!! Finally got these pic scrapped! YE HA!

At last I have found some time to do these pages. I am still working on my space and have yet to get completely organized..................but it is coming. I used the basic grey sugared for this. To make the flowers I used the pattern paper cut into various size circles, wet them and scrunched them. Easy and matchable to any layout! Love it!

Hope somebody visits............................I am not so good at posting therefore people don't look any more.....boo hoo!......................

ONE WORD FOR 2010

I was on Ali Edwards blog and she has asked for one word to describe 2010.................I thought mine should be "DO"....yes you heard it.............no more procrastinating..............I'm on!!!!! Use up those thousands of pounds of scrapping supplies and get those scrapbooks done!!!! How novel is that idea???? LOL
I have quite the number of scapbook subscriptions (which I skim through.....not always read)....I "DID" really pay attention to one today..........WOW....there are some really good ideas in there.
1) Christmas Cards - OH HOW I HATE TO THROW AWAY......(which I don't) hmmmmmm I am a "Card Hoarder"..............every year I just put them in with the decorations and pull them out the next year! So what to do with them..............in the magazine it showed you a great way to use....and it is incorporating them into your scrapbook pages........So there you go! I will be posting some pages soon.....so don't be surprised when you see your cards in my pages!!!! How cool is that idea?????

Oh....here is the link!!!!!

SCRAPPING FOR THE NEW YEAR!!!!!!

I have not been so good with my scrapping as of late.......(quite late)....talking years behind! So my resolution this year is to get scrappin!!!!! I have found some help from Scrapbook & Cards Today and have committed to following this great plan. Check out the website for yourself and see how you can complete an album incorporating special events or favorite memories for each month of the year! I also loved how the main pages follow through using kraft as a background. I think this will pull it all together and am sure I will be quite happy with this come 2011!!!! So follow along and see how you do!
I will also start posting these pages each month and promise to keep up on my blog!!!!!   So bad....I'm also as bad on facebook.............apparently my farm is "dead"........te he he!!!!!
That is just "ME"! I'll have to put something about this in my scrap book.

FISKARS CUSTOMER SERVICE.......SATISFACTION

I was having problems with my 12" trimmer and went on to the Fiskars website. DID YOU KNOW...they have a live chat line where you can ask any questions etc......how cool is that. I dealt with Nikki and she was extremely helpful and very pleasant. WOW....so nice to be treated well by a manufacturer....nice touch for us little consumers. I use many Fiskar products and really have found them to be very durable and have been completely satisfied!
So if you have questions etc.....go to http://www.fiskars.com..........awesome/.

Acrylic Fun

So many people are afraid to tackle acrylic albums. They are actually very easy. I use double sided papers and start on the back page of the book. That way you can see your layers all the way through to the front, I also complete all of the papers first, pics next and then embellishments. Once you complete one you will be completely addicted to them.

A NEW GLUE IN TOWN (NEW TO ME ANYWAY)

OK.....kids!
Want to save a bit of money so use can use it on things you can "SEE"......well have I got a great product for you!!!!! The UHU stic, Photo Glue Stick. Non toxic and acid free.

A little story first: the last crop I was at I finished off 3 tape runners......could not believe it!!!! And I'm sure you can imagine I was none to happy!!!!!!

And then came along this fab glue stick.....................I am so impressed!!!!!!! It is acid free, is a nice size for managing, goes a looooooooooooooooong way, and "SO" cost effective!!!!!!
So I have posted pics of one of my books that I made last night. I also used the bind-it-all (gotta love that baby also!)

So back to the glue........you know how sometimes the paper does not quite get layed down straight?????? How mad does that make you???? You peel it up and opppppssss tear away the bottom layer......................WELL......this glue is actually repositionable for enough time to move things around without causing any damage!!!! LUV LUV LUV IT!!!!

So last night I made two albums (YES TWO)......the only adhesive I used was the small glue stick!!!!! Look at the pic to see how much of it is left!!!!!

Seriously, you really need to give this product a try! Think about all of the other goodies you can purchase with your saved money!!!!!

Embellishments or bellies as I like to call them................and then I call myself the "Belly Queen"............and it ain't because of the abs!!! LOL.

Here you will see the little book I made about Golf......................my husband and I love to golf and I thought "WOW", I need to make a little book just about what we do when we disappear for 6--7 hours at a time!~!!!~~~ LOL again!!!!!!!

If you would like any other info on this "AMAZING" glue, please check it out at http://www.gluewithuhu.com/, possibly you might even score a free sample to try it for yourself.
Highly recommended!!!!!!!
