I have not been so good with my scrapping as of late.......(quite late)....talking years behind! So my resolution this year is to get scrappin!!!!! I have found some help from Scrapbook & Cards Today and have committed to following this great plan. Check out the website for yourself and see how you can complete an album incorporating special events or favorite memories for each month of the year! I also loved how the main pages follow through using kraft as a background. I think this will pull it all together and am sure I will be quite happy with this come 2011!!!! So follow along and see how you do!
I will also start posting these pages each month and promise to keep up on my blog!!!!! So bad....I'm also as bad on facebook.............apparently my farm is "dead"........te he he!!!!!
That is just "ME"! I'll have to put something about this in my scrap book.
I was having problems with my 12" trimmer and went on to the Fiskars website. DID YOU KNOW...they have a live chat line where you can ask any questions etc......how cool is that. I dealt with Nikki and she was extremely helpful and very pleasant. WOW....so nice to be treated well by a manufacturer....nice touch for us little consumers. I use many Fiskar products and really have found them to be very durable and have been completely satisfied! So if you have questions etc.....go tohttp://www.fiskars.com..........awesome/.
So many people are afraid to tackle acrylic albums. They are actually very easy. I use double sided papers and start on the back page of the book. That way you can see your layers all the way through to the front, I also complete all of the papers first, pics next and then embellishments. Once you complete one you will be completely addicted to them.
Want to save a bit of money so use can use it on things you can "SEE"......well have I got a great product for you!!!!! The UHU stic, Photo Glue Stick. Non toxic and acid free.
A little story first: the last crop I was at I finished off 3 tape runners......could not believe it!!!! And I'm sure you can imagine I was none to happy!!!!!!
And then came along this fab glue stick.....................I am so impressed!!!!!!! It is acid free, is a nice size for managing, goes a looooooooooooooooong way, and "SO" cost effective!!!!!!
So I have posted pics of one of my books that I made last night. I also used the bind-it-all (gotta love that baby also!)
So back to the glue........you know how sometimes the paper does not quite get layed down straight?????? How mad does that make you???? You peel it up and opppppssss tear away the bottom layer......................WELL......this glue is actually repositionable for enough time to move things around without causing any damage!!!! LUV LUV LUV IT!!!!
So last night I made two albums (YES TWO)......the only adhesive I used was the small glue stick!!!!! Look at the pic to see how much of it is left!!!!!
Seriously, you really need to give this product a try! Think about all of the other goodies you can purchase with your saved money!!!!!
Embellishments or bellies as I like to call them................and then I call myself the "Belly Queen"............and it ain't because of the abs!!! LOL.
Here you will see the little book I made about Golf......................my husband and I love to golf and I thought "WOW", I need to make a little book just about what we do when we disappear for 6--7 hours at a time!~!!!~~~ LOL again!!!!!!!
If you would like any other info on this "AMAZING" glue, please check it out at http://www.gluewithuhu.com/, possibly you might even score a free sample to try it for yourself.
Well, here I go again.......entering something in a contest....hmmmm.....should be doing housework not building cars...te he he!!!!!!
I did have another idea for this................(keepin it quiet for now), but I went with the VW), and yes I do want one for real.............the one with the flower tail lights........how cool....but I do want yellow!
So............why???? My very first car was a vw bug...........it was parked in my apt lot and I was learning how to drive a standard so only took it for spins around the parking lot..........and "THEN" I come home from work one day and it is "GONE"......................."STOLEN"....BOO HOO!!!! Yes they did find it....................and it had been turned into a DUNE BUGGY!!!! They shortened the frame and everything.......................so that is my first car "SAD" story!!!
OK....there is a new website launch........and best of all there are lots of prizes to be given away!!!! Do visit..........and enjoy all of the info they provide you with!!! I am trying to figure out how to add their blinkie........cute bright yellow owl!!!! Must have on my blog.
Stampin Addicts dot com has tons of ideas using the Stampin’ Up! Big Shot and is giving away a Big Shot Die Pack as part of the Stampin’ Up! summer celebration. To enter, all you have to do is write about it. This is my entry. Now give me my dies. And "Good Luck"...................I've also entered.....imagine that.....I NEED MORE "STUFF"!!!! LOL
This is another one of the sets that you should have bought when it was available. When you see it and you like it.......BUY THEN!!! As once they retire, they are "GONE"!!! Love this set! So here is my second card for the challenge. Love colour challenges!!!!!!
So this is the first colour challenge I have participated in (first challenge ever really). This is a SU challenge using Lovely Lilac, Choc Chip and Garden Green.....that was easy! So I also used the SU movers and shapers die, scallop punch to make my flowers, curly label punch, top note die, sizzlet leaf die, and the weathered background stamped with versa and brushed with gold pearlex. The non-su products are the ribbon and stickles on flower. Hope you like it!
Sorry the pics did not turn out so well, need a bit of practice.
The pic does not show so well but the Best wishes is actually using the new mover and shaker die which cuts, scores and punches out the curly label all in one run. LUV it.....there are also new shapes in the new catty.
These layouts are a little old (2 years), but I just loved the colours. Mackenna was a "HUGE" Doodlebop fan.....so of course I had to find her the pink wig! She "LOVED" it. It was a stinkin hot day but she wouldn't take it off.............and I think that pink hair gave her a bit of courage. Check her out "FLIRTIN" with Nicholas!!!! Girls will be girls........age doesn't matter!!!! LOL
If you love challenges...then you must check out this one! It is a challenge using SU colours (or close to). Click on the blinkie SP Color Challenge for more info. This is a great way to get things done and also have a little bit of fun. Why not start a challenge girls club.......get together one night a week for a couple of hours and put together something for the challenge. BUT OF COURSE THERE ARE PRIZES FOR THE WINNERS!!!! WIN SOME BLOG CANDY FROM SANDY!!!!! LITTLE CLUE: YOU WILL NOTICE MY FONT COLOURS.......THEY ARE THECHALLENGE COLOURSFOR THIS WEEK......GO AHEAD ..... HAVE SOME FUN .........LET THOSE CREATIVE JUICES FLOW!!!!!! I will post mine as soon as I have them completed.....I think I will do a card and a layout!
Ok....in Buffalo I stopped by the Quick Quotes booth to do a make and take......and here it is! This has started me on a new obsession...................a wall of fame in my scrapping space incorporating canvas scrapbook pages (no frames), lots of colour and actually very cool!!!! Here are a couple I have done already. If you have any questions as to technique please don't hesitate to post and ask questions. Hope you enjoy! Ok, I am trying to add in a pic.....program is not co-operating....if there is no photo right away.....not to worry....it's coming!
My grandaughters.....here are some pics of us having a sleepover.....way too much fun.
I have also put together their own little scrapping collection...they have a rolling tote that is filled with paper, stickers, markers, glue sticks, fancy scissors etc......etc......when they come for a visit the fav thing to do is go to grandmas scrap space and just craft the day away!!!!! More pics to follow.....have to find them.....I need a better system on my comp.
So, I went to the classes on Saturday...."AMAZING" as always!!! Vicki put together a little book that was "FULL" of great techniques, tags, stamping, metal and just fabulous. I was there for 8 hours and just couldn't wait to get home to continue......LOL!!!!! Scap addict I am. I will post some pics later when I have some time.
This is my cutie patootie grandaughter "Ryleigh". She loves to entertain and make people laugh. She goes out of her way to make you smile.....she is my little sweetheart. This is what makes our worlds turn!!!!!
Well back from Buffalo....it took me this long to get back to the norm........Had a great time....took lots of classes, did lots of shopping and attended all of the crops!!!!!
So I bought the Zutter Bind-it-all as well as the Dreamcutz.........."LUV THEM"!!!!
I am also now a "QUICK QUOTES" addict!!!
I also signed up for a club kit subscription from "Heartstrings". They have pretty amazing kits available. I will post a link to them also.
So I am including pics from my page layout entries!!!!
Will post more info soon.
Thanks for lookin..................hope someone has found me by now~~!~~
Going to CK Buffalo again this year! Great time, I hope the economy has not put a damper on the event. Once again, I have put together 2 layouts for submission................Luv to try and win some sweet prezzies!!!!!
So, last year this was my page layout. I had fun putting it together..............no prezzies....but I'm trying again this year. Wish me luck!!!!!!
This year we are going for 3 nights.....2 nights were just not enough. We are real pro's at this now. We have a cooler on wheels.......we pack lots of food and snacks, baggies for transporting and of course our alcohol for the end of the night wind down.........that's when we get to really look at all of the great things we made and bought!!!!! I will be sure to post after that event.
So here are some views of my 2008 submission! Hope you "like".
Well I have been busy working on submissions for the CK Buffalo Show at the end of the month. It is a "GREAT" event and I always look forward to going. This year we will be staying 3 nights instead of 2. Just too busy. We are also attending "ALL" of the night crops and of course have loaded up on classes. Not too much free time. Each year we improve and we have gotten "excellent" at bringing along what is needed. We always bring a big cooler packed w/bagels, cheese, cream cheese, milk, fruit etc.,,,,,,,got the idea????? We bring baggies etc., and always pack some food before going for the day. You really don't have time to eat.....or just don't want to take time out to eat.!!!! LOL!!!!! Of course we bring the Mojito mix and buy our "BIG" bottle of rum at the duty free.......ummmmm......at the end of the day, it is way so "YUMMY" for the "TUMMY"......silly though how they seem to get stronger with each new drink made. I do have to say "if you have never attended an event like this"......."YOU MUST GO AT LEAST ONCE"!!!!! You won't regret it. OK....back to work.......I will post some new projects soon and of course I will post my submissions after the show. Hope someone is out there and will read this..........................I'm still waitin for some followers!!!!!!! Laurie
So.........I was really going to get this thing goin!!!!!! My computer crashed!!!!! I am on my daughter's laptop..............so you can imagine how much time that gives me. Of course...all my pics are saved on "MY" NONE computer.......................and we just had the hard drive replaced... SO................SAD!!!!!! I will be up and running soon...............oh well gives me time to make more cards and take more pics of things I have already done. Later............
I have added Vicki Boutin to my favorite blogs visited. I attended one of her classes at the Scrapbook Academy in Oshawa. I must say it was the best workshop I have ever attended. And beleive me I have been to "MANY". She showed us so many different techniques and we completed a great little album. I was very "HAPPY". I have signed up for 2 more classes at the Scrapbook Academy on June 13th.....can't wait to see what Vicki has for us this time.
OK....this is a foreign language to me. But I did manage to post my first card. This stamp is from Stampin Up's Spring Mini Catty. Very cute.....the inside verse reads "Hope your day is Par-Fect. I coloured it in with my stampin up markers. Everyone seems to be using Copics....but I just can't justify the expense! I also have Lyra Poly's but have not mastered them as yet....love the colours but I find them hard to blend with stumps........so I will keep practicing. Hope you enjoy my card and hope to post more soon. Laurie
I so enjoy following others blogs....so I thought it was time for me to get "GOING". I hope eventually people will find me and enjoy my submissions. I would like to start with some baby layouts that I did for my niece's shower gift. She is not a scrapper, would like to be a scrapper and I thought I would start her on her way with the basics. I had alot of fun with the Little Yellow Bycicle design paper...so here are some of my layouts.
I wanted to start my niece off with a baby album. She wants to get involved in scrapbooking, so I thought I would give a bit of a foundation to start with. I'm sure we will be spending much time together as I share all of my "STUFF" with her.
I have posted a few pics for you. I used Little Yellow Bicycle new line. (AWESOME) ...TOO CUTE!
As my friends know, I love to be creative. Once going, I can become a little "FRANTIC" might be a good description. I can go a little creativley crazy....as my friends will atest "you are making me tired".
"I JUST LOVE THOSE CREATIVE TRANCES". I will try to keep this blog up to date and hope you will enjoy my pictures etc. Since I have been crafting I keep finding amazing companies to buy from......LOVE STAMPS!!!!! I would like to share what I love also. Happy crafting!!!!!!!
